Looks like it could be a Tiawan Reef. If it is he still has a lot of coloring to do.

Is the first and last the same?

If not I see Red Emp and Taiwan Reef last, even thought the white does not come down far.

The first guy is very young, it dose have the hap stripe across his eye. I found him in the assorted cichlids tank, with other young fish. I payed 2.50 for him, he has a very intresting shape and color. Very outgoing and isn't scared of the other fish.

The second fish is another unknown cichlid that I picked up as an experiment, the shop owner told me he was probably an electric blue.
I definitly don't think the third one is a red-empress ive kept and bred the fish so many times I know that much lol. I think he is most likely a red shoulder peacock.

The last one is a big 10 inch sand shifter of some kind, payed a good 49$ for it from the large cichlid tank (not sure which), my lfs's are terrible really the best I can do is generalize, hap, peacock, tang, and so forth

The thrid is Protomelas taeniolatus so many color morphs that it could be though.

The 2nd I have seen sold under the same story. I have two females with out the blue in the face. No males though... also sold as a copadichromis in some stories... not sure what they are...

The last one being 10 inches is throwing a wrench in it. Is it really that big or close. Like a big 8 or 9... That will widen the field a lot more then.

He's about 9.75 inches, he is a "big guy". Well I just don;t think the shape of the fins are right for it to be a Protomelas taeniolatus, but hey you're right they're are so many verities out there.

He's somekind of big schooling sand spitter
