Hey guys,
I'm looking into some stocking suggestions for my tank, tank is 162 gallons, overfiltered, filled with fake plants, rocks, driftwood etc., I feed a variety of foods and the tank gets a 25% waterchange once a week. Here is the current stocking list:
-5 small redtail gold tinfoil barbs
-6 black skirt tetras
-4 austrailian rainbows
-3 rosy barbs
-4 flame tetras(these will be moved if I notice a problem)

Can anybody suggest a colorful, active fish to add that will work in this tank? thanks

A school of 7 or 8 clown loaches

i tnink you could add many more of each species you have first if the tank is 162g. And also you could mix so nice rams or gouramis or something like that in there

what about some kribs?

Maybe geo's, they are pretty colorful and im sure they can go with your current stocking.
Which species in particular are you referring to? Flame tetras, rosy barbs and black widows will not work with most geos.

its better to have a theme than just to have it all mixed up it aint realistic to me,just a thought

Thanks for the replies. I am planning on getting a school of clown loaches eventually, I don't want to put them in right away because I want to make sure that the tank is well established before I add them. I like the idea of the blue rams and I am looking into getting some dwarf gouramis, how many do you think that I should add? Kribs sound like a good idea, there not available at most lfs around me so I will have to keep my eye open for them. A school of roseline sharks seems like a great idea, are they active enough? Thanks everybody again for the suggestions.

Well established? If your tanks been setup for a month its fine, as long as its cycled you can add clowns, they aint THAT hard to keep dude.
