Hey, after realizing that a piranha is not a good idea,mi am looking at some other midwater predators. Please help me decide on one of the fish below. The other stocks going to be two sengal bichirs, one red wolf, and maybe an African butterflyfish if the wolf doesnt attack him. Also a convict pair, if the other fish don't get aggressive. The red wolf and sens are the important thing, not the convict or the butterfly, the can be moved. The fish are, with their listed max lengths beside them,
Watermelon fish, Chalceus erythrurus, 10"
Pink-tailed characin, Chalceus macrolepidotus, 10"
Torpedo pike characin, Acestrorhynchus altus, 14"
Amazon cachorro, Acestrorhynchus falcirostris, unknown length.
Also, if you have any other ideas for a midwater predator, tell me please. And I almost forgot, the tank is forty gallons.
