Need an ID on a "Jack Dempsey"

Do you know if when it grows it'll get darker? All the other pictures of mature JD look dark with blue.

Well i have a 2" jd at the moment and he changes from dark to a light color depending on his mood.
A dark substrate can also help

Those are mature adult specimens
When your jd reaches that size you can expect something similar

I have black gravel as well. I do see them change colors depending on how much light is on them or how their feeling I guess. But thank you to everyone replied I appreciate it.
