My brother bought two gars labeled as alligator gars. He's not sure what they are though, so he sent me a picture. I'm not good with gars, so I really need help on the ID. Here's the picture.

most likely Florida gars given the photos...not in bad shape either as they still have their caudal filaments. definitely not alligator gars though--

Thanks Brian. I was gonna post but was too busy. But awesome, I knew they weren't alligator gars but I just wanted to know what they really were. It doesn't bother me what they were, I got two of them for only $10. lol. So I have everything to gain. Thanks guys.
