not sure if it's a male or female, I thought it was a johanni female but now I'm not sure but I would like to know if it's male or female, might be hard to tell at such a small size though only 2 in I think it could be a type of lombardi?? Its definitely not shy and doesn't get picked on but does chase around the others a bit seems to be a very playful fish and flashy sometimes...

could it be this??

if it's that small I might just be a lab awaiting it's color it could possibly be hybrid I say that cause of marking I def don't think female johanni

even if anyone gets what u think is right I would make another Id thread once it grows and colors up

It's not M. barlowi. When younger M. barlowi look like females, the males get brighter yellow as they mature. They never get pearly colored rows running horizontal on the body.
Pure Lab. caeruleus are born solid yellow with black edges on the fins (one variant has a white belly, still not the same as your fish).
The only fish that, in my opinion, came close at first glance, was albino Melanochromis auratus, but the pattern on your fish still does not match. The pattern on your fish is more consistant with juvenile M. joanjohnsonae but your fish has the smaller more pointed mouth and downward slope on the forehead of Labidochromis.

Or Labidochromis Caeruleus x Labidochromis Textilis hybrid.

Considering Lab. textilis' lack of availability in the US I would assume M. joanjohnsonae which are commonly and erroneously sold as "Lab. textilis".
