Need an ID on this

Hi All,

I am new to this site and this is my first post, i have had/owned/cared for different species of fresh water fish over 10yrs. Especially Piranhas and Pacus.

I picked up these 2 inch babies today and have them on brine shrimp, blood worms, cichlid pellets and live fish. Need an ID on this, they said it was an Alligator gar.

I was thinking spotted pike characin. Very similar to hujetas tho.

By the shape of the tail it is a Lepisosteus or Atractosteus sp. It could be Aligator Gar

Probably an alligator or spotted gar. I don't think it's hugeta.
