So this guy local to me wants to sell me his gar he wrote to me early last week and he told me he has a gator gar. I told him to send me a pic. Randomly I just got it he sent to pics (not very good ones). He claims he paid $100 for it and it came with the tank.

So is it a gator or a spotted?

it's a Florida/spotted gar, most likely a Florida. definitely not a gator and definitely not worth $100 in the typical US market. nice looking fish, but i would save your money unless he's willing to come way down on the price--

Yeah, he said he's not looking to get his money back. He'll take an offer.

Note a different note what do you guys think about these used tanks?

Buy both.
 
blakc buy the 170g and wait till after the first of the year( around late jan or feb) and ill buy it of of you for $175 (getting a new job and ill be broke till then)
