Just got these little guys this week their about an inch going to grow them out thinking of putting them into my 405 when it gets up and running and they are at least 4-5" but would like to see what type they are if you can id them or are the to small to do that yet?

fairly yes... but still beautiful fish. growth rate is about .5'' per month depending on tank size

If I were you I'd snatch the rest up, once the orinos are gone, there not so easy to find. Plus at that price, grow them out to about 5-6". then sell some of them, you'll make out very good. There was a dry spell on here where not many people could find orinos locally, it was about a 6-8 month wait. I have 12 myself, all between 3-5", but only going to end up keeping 4. They look just like the Rio Meta Orinos that Rich and Rapps had. And chances are at that size, you may end up losing a few, I would definetly grab six more, you'll appreciate the larger schools anyways, more action at feeding time. I fed mine feeder guppies at that size just to boost up the growth rate. I've had them for about 2 months and some grew 2", others grew 3-4". They are now all on rosie reds, about 100 per three days.

Well those were the only three he had in he hasn’t had any p.bass in for about a year now and got these guys in about two three weeks ago and was tempted so I finally ended up getting them for a good deal. They eat like crazy I have them in a 35 with a spotted gar that’s about 3-4" and the tank full of guppies, neon’s, and danios they all look nice and fat. im definitely going to grow them out, I just sealed up a 405 a little bit ago that im planning on putting them in.
