Charax gibbosus maybe. I'm not to sure though.

Yea.. they sold it as a vampire tetra (the one's in my lesson learned post) on a whim I went by today and they still had 3 of the 4 that were there. Got them for $3.99 even if they aren't payara they are still wicked looking.

They look like the Charax gibbosus with the exception of the black spots.

Ok, I take that back, they do have the black spot, it just wasn't visible when they were stressed from the ride home. Deffinitely a Charax Gibbosus..

ATM they are in my catfish tank. 2x 2" striped raphaels, 2x 4" Sun Catfish and 1x 3" Weather Loach. I put them in there in hopes of breaking up the lack of activity.

Charax are nasty little fish, dont know much about them, but i got a few in with a box of Payara and they just kept biting scales off my Payara so i got rid of them.

Yes definetly get rid of them, i absolutely hated mine even though they had a cool hump and shape they constantly bite fins and scales right off the bodies of fish. Extremely mean the small guy was actually fedding off my big 10 inch red tail Payara just ripping scales off his body in ambush attack stlye i was so mad at them.
