I currently have a pair of Red Head Cichlids in it. They are boring me to death. So my question is go "wet pet" or a community?

Now I'm open to anything and everything not just cichlids. Oddballs, africans(Frontosa maybe), even a planted community. My limited search last night had me at this list:
Red Devil
Midas
Uaru
Festae
Cuban

As you can see I'm all over the map but my main love is large(ish) cichlids. So lets start there and then I'm open to any other ideas.

Note: I currently have a 4' 120G tank that houses the following: 1 Male Texas/BP hybrid(looks like a Texas), 1 Male GT(total wuss), 1 Male JD, 1 pictus cat, 4 silver dollars. I could possibly move some of the cichlids and add to the 75 or whatever but I've had no issues from that tank as far as aggression goes.

I've never owned any of those fish listed but I have seen red devils and every single one ended up in its own tank. They are extremely aggressive. Buddy of mine has 2 and he tried to mix each in with other fish only to find that the devils tried to kill everything except one fish. It for some reason allowed one single goldfish to live with it.

Yeah I think I'm taking RD and Midas off my list. I like the interaction but I've never been a huge fan of their looks. Apologies to the RD fans here. I'll edit my original post.

Edit: I guess you can't edit the original post. Also I think Red Texas and Festea are near the tops right now...Thoughts?

Yeah I've never owned one and was getting conflicting info. Guess I'll scratch that off.

Still looking for some good ideas.

a community of one "large"sev and 3-5 eartheaters (small ones)might be ok in a75or a sev and 3-5 silver dollars

Can't beat a single flowerhorn for a 75G IMO. If you don't have a "thing" against hybrids, there's something special about FH personalities IMO. They are generally more personable and less "tank bottom-obsessed" that most midas/RD's.

OK I'm thinking of changing my plans. I think I need to move the GT out of my 120. He's never been a fanitic eater and I'm afraid he's not getting anything these days.

So what can I put with the GT in the 75? Could it survive with breeding cons in there? My thought is if it doesn't get the dry food there will be plenty of fry swimming around ready to nab.

In addition what dithers could I put in there besides silver dollars? I would like lots of activity in the tank.

Going to buy some tonight. I'm for sure moving the GT to the 75. really like the idea of fry available to him to eat but I'm worried about the aggression from spawning parents. Also looking for input on dithers and bottom dwellers. Would love a really active tank.
