Just got a a tank which is about 3 feet by 1 by 1 i want either a frog or a gecko which could i have with only a heat mat and a heated rock with know UV lights. cheers.

Turn it vertically could house crested's 1.2.

I keep 1.2 in a 18x18x18..

1. Eco earth substrate.
2. Fake plants.
3. climbing branches. ( I use the exo terra branches )
4. they are very easy to care for need room temps at about 75 degrees. and daily water spraying to keep humidity up!

You could house one of many things in there. I'll sort it out by terrain.
Terrestrial:
-Leopard geckos
-African Fat Tailed geckos
-Pictus geckos
-Bullfrogs
-Pacman frogs
-Leopard frogs
-Blue tailed skinks
-Crocodile Skinks
-Ocellated skinks
-Salamanders
-Newts

Aboreal:
-Crested geckos
-Day geckos
-Whites Tree frog
-Tokay geckos
-Tree frogs in general really

By heated rock I hope you mean a rock that you have under the basking light and not a heat rock as those get hot enough that the poor animals get burned and often burned ON TO the heat rock. For any herptile you will need a UVB lamp of the proper UVB rating, however nocturnal spieces can thrive just fine with out a UVB lamp so long as you provide Calcium with D3. If not you run the risk of MBD developing (metabolic bone disease).

Sweet cheers guys i like the sounds of some of the geckos but if i see a pacman i will have to pick one up love those guys.
