Hello All

I have a 48 in long acrylic tank and am looking for an LED light system where the lights alternate every other one as white and blue.

The ones with the strip of white and the strip of blue are too bright. I want the kind where every other bulb is blue and white.

Any suggestions? Price is a factor!

Thanks

If you dont want it too bright and price is a factor, then maybe try a single bright beamswork fixture. Ive never heard complaints on those being 'too bright'.

This is the one I had in mind: http://www.aquatraders.com/LED-Aquarium-Lighting-Beamswork-LED-p/56317.htm

It wont grow plants or anything like that, but the price is very good and will light up the tank ok. I had been using these on past tanks but finally decided to just spend the money on better lighting and have been so much happier. I went with the Current USA Satellite + fixtures. Could care less about the gimmicky 'effects' but the full spectrum and rose setting really make the fish pop.

I concur.

Cool. Well, I don't want to be cheap about it--buy nice or buy twice.

I thought about Current but I couldn't find the alternating colors-- plus I don't need the gimmicks.

I'll take a look at the unit you suggested. I wouldn't mind being able to have some plants.

Thanks

I got the fluval ultra brights. They are really nice. Have the normal daytime function as well as the all blue night time function

Nice. Same one I have on 4 of my tanks. It's the best bang for your buck. I have the current on my 240 which is cool but wish I would've gotten the BeamsWork. Saved some of that money and bought something else for my tank. Glad your happy with it. I've had my BeamsWork for about 7 months now. No problems at all
