Long story short had a very bad onset of ick in my tank, while I was hospitalized to the point of where half my stock was lost. Once had seen the issue remaining stock removed and quarantine and treated still have several days of treatment before they can be placed in my large tank. I have removed all ornimate and gravel all have been sterilized as well as glas and wet/dry.
My question is what is the fastest way to re-cycle my tank? I currently also have a 40 gallon box front well istablished tank my media if sunk inthe 40 gallon for a few days will it pick up the necesary bacteria needed or would I be better off using some gravel from the smaller tank and placing in the bottom of wet/dry.
The tank that has been sterilized is 110 gallon tank. Stock fancy tail Guppies,, Julie Corys, Dragon Gopy, and Chiness Alge Eaters
Any insight would be appreciated.

If it were me, I'd use some of the media and the gravel/water from the other tank to get your tank back up and going. It'll be a natural way of doing it and will save the expense of some of the store bought "quick starts."

I used Dr Tims Nitrifying Bacteria with great success..

After having a bacterial infection with goldfish, I had to restart whole tank and filters, because of all the MEDS I used in the tank (150-gallon)

After replacing all the filter media, cleaning powerheads and tank I used this product called Dr Tims Bacteria, 2-days later I added a large school of baby tinfoil barbs to cycle the tank, they did well from the start and put on some nice size.

3-weeks later I traded them all for my JAG, which has been doing well in the tank ever since.

Thanks gental man for the input. The gravel should II mixed with the sterilized gravel or would it be more bennifical in the bottom of the wet/dry?

Put the gravel from the cycled tank in with the sterilized gravel. They actually have to touch to stansfer the bacteria faster. The beneficial bacteria are not present in the water colomn. Only on surfaces.

Thank you for the information gentalmen.
