Need assistance want to convert to moving bed for my rays

I currently have a 6X3X2 with a 60 gallon sump full of matrix.Currently not on a drip system so water changes are pretty big. I heard for Ray's a moving bed is the way to go so I was going to convert my 60g sump that has a Laguna 2400 gph. My question is there anyone in the tri state area that may be able to help. Would pay for the assistance. I'm currently in the West Chester PA area. Thanks

You may be better off with a ton of matrix instead of going to moving bed media. Heard you have to have a lot for it to work out right.

Moving bed won't help reduce water changes unless you are water changing to remove ammonia or nitrate. Moving beds can be problematic with correct movement and not blocking pumps etc. What do you want to improve or achieve?

I still do large water changes with constant drip to keep nitrates low.

Just trying to move forward with the best setup for may Ray's and bass 4 Bass 10-14" and two Ray's 7-8" disc feeding once a day with shrimp/blood worms and mix in pellets sometimes.

If you can do a drip system that would make it easier. If your parameters are fine then keep it simple. I now use pond matting, ceramic balls and some static k3.
