I have 2 gulpers in a 55 with a rena xp1 and a tetra 60 hob. The water looks cloudy, they wont eat and the 1 is bloated. These are my favorite right now and this is really annoying. I just bought a 210 for an aro and stingrays and if this is going to continue I need to start rethinking a lot of things. I've been feeding them store shrimp and now they wont look at it. I try so hard and this is so frustrating considering my stupid 30 gal community tank is just fine. I hate losing fish and want to scream

do 20% water changes and do not feed for the next week ! they will be fine just do this asap trust me this just happened to me

what is your water parameters?....i would drop the water level to 3/4th of the 55....so that your filters are filtering more water in less time. as for feeding um', try and fed them with the lights out.

I did 1 water change last week and 1 30 minutes ago. regarding quality I brought my api to my gf's house so all I have are these strips that suck. Should I be doing 20% every other day or what. I also added a small amount of aquarium salt which I don't normally do for catfish

i also have two in a 55 so they should be fine in there. Sometimes they will suck in air and puff themselves up, so he might not actually be bloated. when i got mine, one of them would not eat at all. try tilapia fillet. its real cheap and they love it.

he's been bloated for awhile. I've had them for 6 months now and never an issue with quality of water cloudiness or food they ate the 3rd day I had them. they have been eating shrimp for awhile so I was thinking of going to the lfs and picking up a dozen ghost shrimp but now I'm not so sure what to do. please keep the suggestions coming I dont want to loose my buds.
