Alright-let me start off by saying I hate custom built tanks.......

My problem-
I got 5 bulkheads to replace-they are currently 1/2 inch ones-
I need bigger.....I have found bigger locally-But the walls of the darn things are too thick to fit into the holes that are already their....I want to move up to 1 inch bulkheads or bigger....Would love 1 1/2 inch for best flow....

Does anyone know where to order thin walled bulkheads.....Or how do I go about this fixing this problem---

Oh yeah the dumbasses also used friggen silicone for gaskets....it's in good condition and seals well-Should this be removed......

Where does one order their bulkheads online?

Thanks MFK-
Sorry if I left out any important info-If I did-Please just ask for info needed....

My tank has been down now going on three weeks-I got fish getting beat to all hell and have big fish crammed into tight spaces---I need this like yesterday....

There are numerous places to buy bulkheads.http://www.mopsdirect.us/cgi-bin/SoftCart.exe/us/Bulkheads.html?L+us+ywqj9438ff2c332c+1239392565

As you can see for each size bulkhead it tells you what size hole you need.

Ie for a 1/2 bulkhead it requires a 1 1/8 hole and for an 1 1/2 bulkhead you need a 2 1/2 hole.

The only way to increase your bulkhead size is to drill larger holes. There are many how-to's on You Tube to give you some direction.

Have not come across thin walled bulkheads, have only seen Sch 70.

Thanks for link-
I'll take alook at it soon....

My tank can not be re drilled-----It is a very weird setup---it use to holdking crab for local place here....Everything is setup bad for being a fish tank----It is double walled....So getting it off the stand is a no go...I dont know how I could get them re drilled other than that...Please educate me if I am over looking things...

I have old bulkheads-
I'll take a pic when I can and get it posted----Might be tomarrow though...Of both old and new bulkheads.....

I'll also measure hols to see how big they are-I did not know that factored in actually-I'm a newbie at all of this and just trying to fix my tank---Who knew a damn pump issue would be sooooo much work...

AK, Instead of the white sch-40 PVC fittings try the GRAY colored electrical ones. The main difference is that on the electrical fittings the thread is not tapered, therefore it really lets you crank those mothers down tight and prevent leaks!

Also, there are these raw rubber gasket sheets that I use on both sides because they are thin enough.

Here's a good picture I found on randystacye.com

Just make sure to use flat gaskets. O-rings tend to slip out because there is no retention groove.
