i have my fry tank build up some algae. right now i only threw in 1 snail that i could catch from outside the caves.

now tomorrow i am going to my LFS to get some cleaners. i can get pleco's, chinese algae eaters, glass shrimp, snails. however they have to be fry safe for fish and cray fry, as i will be breeding electric blue crays as soon as the female's come in.

also as per the gvuidlines, the fry tank is 10g, w/ gravel bottom, no decor, and a sponge driven hang over filter. feed is powdered gf flakes and algea

Plecos and chinese algae eaters would be too big imo (and the plecos poop so much you'd be forever changing water). I would go with 1 or maybe 2 otocinclus at the most, shrimp and a mystery snail.

i got 4 giant apple snails. they are going to town. and i believe (correct me if i'm wrong, that they will hold up better to cray fry than regular fish)

and since i have the right conditions, i may have a slight chance of the apple's breeding

I find apple snails don't really eat algae... i have one in my cray tank and it NEVER touches algae... all it did was eat all my vegetation, and now eats the pellets i feed my crays...
