Need confirmation on sex of my umbee

Hi Everyone,
I have an umbee and am not sure the sex of it is. I thought female at first, now not sure. It's 9" and not as colorful as my male. Thanks in advance.

IMO it looks like a washed out male, no black on its dorsal which females usually have, especially at that size.

I looked at different sites for female umbees and some photos of female umbees do not have the black circle on the sides. I am also not sure what you meant with the black on its dorsal. This photo was taken following a water change. Thanks in advance.

Its a male.

Yeah it is a male. A lot of blue speckles in the tale and dorsal fin. Although he doesn't have much color... Females are usually pale in color that way, but I would say you have a male, because of the speckles in the tale and dorsal fin.
