I have a giant gourami and a silver arowana. I plan on building a 2000 gallon aquarium for them fully grown...will that be enough??

Do you have any suggestions on the most efficient way to heat such a thing...I was planning on insulating it already, but how could I heat it?

What kind of filtration are you thinking? That could play a factor in how to heat it. Some folks use in line heaters, others use heating elements on controllers, could use a couple 1000w heaters in a sump....

Look up Coefficient of Performance (COP). I recently bought a 2kW system for a 60,000L tank which has 6.5+ COP.

So using 1000 Watt of electricity will generate 6500 watts of heat. Make sure the top of tank is covered. Even a clear plastic sheet (over a PVC frame) will make a difference.

You can run off solar panels during the day as well, depending on your location.
