i have had my koi angelfish for a while now and he is about 5 inches long. i have just noticed some white growth on his face and it is puffed out. it looks a little like a bite but none of the fish ever mess with him. i will try to get pics up but i don't want to lose him:(

looks like the fungus one but a little smaller. not a bunch of spots like ich though only a few and they are raised.

btw how do u upload pics??

the cottony growth is probably sap. It's very common in Koi. There are lots of ways to treat it, but what works somtimes doesn't work others.

Googles these and see what might work best for you. I try to use these methods before I use other treatments.

Salt Dips
Hydrogen Peroxide Dips
Formalin Treatment
Malachite Green Treatment
Potassium Permanganate Dips (Use this with CAUTION. I usually save this for last ditch effort)

By the way, the salt dip and potassium permanganate dip will help knock out Ich while it's at it. Don't get me wrong, I prefer safer methods to treat ich, but if you are doing this for something else, might as well try to kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

you mean "get two birds stoned with one joint".
