Sup MFK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Been gone a long time but finally bought with a permanent place for a real tank. Years have gone by and I finally have real room for a black arowana and a juru or TSN.

Going with an 8'x2'x20" -- 200g

What are your recommendations on filtration? Was planning on going sump but wondering on needs, or if double canister would work better or be easier.

Interested in yall's options.

Cheers - Bill

Welcome back

A sump would be my choice.

I do both typically. Sump for big bioload and an fx6 to help polish. I also have a rig that pumps water via fx6 out of the fish room

Depends on a few things really as both work.
Dual fx allows for one to be cleaned one month and the other alternate month. Quieter running of the tank but dual cost of running.
One sump allows for a larger filter area and with one larger return pond pump it could be cheaper running with larger filtration but then it’s more difficult to clean out just part of it without the resulting filth dirtying the tank on restart. Also, if the tank is in a living room you have the added noise of weir overflows to the sump.
