I have a 5 x2x2 non drilled running an fx5. I want s sump like filtration with height turnover however the slight issue is my tank is not drilled. Is there a way I can have a sump or something close to a sump on this tank without drilling it

There are commercial overflow boxes, that use siphons, of you can build your own PVC overflow. Here is an example of one of the boxes

The photo above is the skimmer box hanging inside the tank,
below an overview with the overflow box hanging outside the tank and has plumbing leading to the sump

the siphon below

Ok looks good.

As you can see my box overflows into a tank just below the main tank and off to the side, that intermediate sump then overflows into another sump below that.
You can choose a sumps directly under your tank, or not.
Sumps can be below, 20 feet to the side, or even on a different floor below (such as in a basement).
There are no rules as to where, just that if it is "gravity fed", it must be slightly lower than the main tank.
