Need Formula for gravel calculation

Trying to put an inch of gravel in an 8x2 tank footprint. How many lbs of gravel do I need to get to get this done?

8x2 is 16 sq ft. An inch of gravel per sq ft is approx 50lbs?

Well, I have always done a pound per gallon......and then added a little more to that....I like a deep gravel bed...
