Got my new tank about 5-6 weeks ago. It's 70g's and the dimensions are 60x18x18.

My desired list:

12 Red Phantom Tetras
8 Cardinal tetras
3 Angelfish
5 Clown loaches
1 Pleco (Don't know the species)
2 German rams

I just need help choosing my last addition, I need something BIG that could be my centerpiece fish. I was thinking:

A Convict
Or an eel
or a super red or gold severum
or 2 Blood parrots
or another pleco, Most defiantly a gold nugget or a green phantom

My 2 favorites right now are the single severum, It's big and colorful or the pair of blood parrots. Any thoughts?

I think the Severums or Blood Parrots will eventually grow large enough eat your Cardinals.

The angels and clown loaches will grow large. I think once they all grow out, your current stock will fill the tank out nicely.

I thought the parrots wouldn't be able to eat something that size since they can't really open their deformed mouths?

They can def chomp your cardinals. Their mouths still open and function to some degree depending on which type you get. Some can close their mouths and some can't.

They are also somewhat like vaccums, my 7 incher sucks up whole algae wafers and huge night crawlers.

Mmmm... I'll think about not getting the cardinals, It'll be a hard one though since I love them. What about a con? Would they be compatible?

Also, Do parrots have good personalities because from what I take it you keep them?

I had 4 green and 5 turquoise severums in a 90G, and they tore the hell out of each other until there were only two left. all before they were 3 inches. I can't see your angels lasting more than a week or two.
