ok so my professor has us doing these retarted web assigns for physics and im really hating this class, but im bought to grad in the spring, then off for the masters degree while im still in school mode...
but off to my problem, im familar with the ti-83 calculators, used them in highschool frequently, but i hv a ti-89 and its pissin me off. i've had it for like 3yrs and never really used it much, always borrowed a ti-83 from someone else, but im stuck with this at least till tonight and the webassign is due at 11pm. when doing a simple equation on the ti-83 like tan of 8 it gives u the numeric number. on the ti-89 if i type tan of 8 it simply responds tan8, it wont give me the numerical value. sometimes it gives me answers in fractions instead of the exact number. is there a mode or something i need to change, can someone help me, and i have found stuff on search engines with tutorials and such on the ti-89 but cant find the answer to my question, its talking about alot of other stuff. well any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks....
