My red devil is in a 3ft tank he is about 25cm to 28cm long and she is sitting in the 1 spot all the time and is not eating the food and she is lying on a slight angel. we feed her hikari cichid gold pellets medium size float type 4 to 8 pellets a night, we do a 50% to 75% a week gravel is vacumed cleaned once a week and the water is cloudy, we use aquar world internal filter IF800 and use a 200watt submergible heater. the tank has 2 plastic plants in it and 1 pipe for hideing. she will move up from the spot if u make her but then she will go straight back there. we use rain water for the tank.

rain water=acid rain??? never heard of that b4..what r ur parameters???? have you done anything lately in the tank???
well, the tank is way to small for that poor fish. you need to be doing daily water changes in a tank that small. you need to upgrade to a 75 gallon ASAP.
pollution isn't that bad in Australia is it
don't see how you could get enough rain water to do water changes how long has the tank been set up ? does it look sick or is it just laying around ?
if the waters cloudy i would do a water change i would do a 50% water change evey week
