Hey, I just have a little time to go on the computer, and I was wondering if this pinkie is too big for my snake. He is just a month old. If it's too big, should I cut it in half? Thanks, I really appreciate it.

They WILL take it. Just watch, you will see. There is no need to split the pinkie. Remember, this is how they start out in the wild!

thats all mine ate dude and it was the same size as yours.Im lovin how excited you are about this, youll be fine.Have fun!

Its fine. ;) Ever see the African rock python that ate an antelope on flim? Yeah.

I put mine in a deep tuperware container to eat that way you dont have to keep an eye on it the entire time,i guess its good to watch it though in case something happens but I think youll be all good,I just do that to keep it secure.

Also if you hold your snake up to the sun you should be able to see its organs when they are this small, its realy interesting.

However don't handle him for at least 2 days after eating though. :p

no do it while its eating it and youll se both their organs.very funny bloodypirate!Yeah thats another thing about the tuperware, when its done eating you can tilt it and carefuly slide it back onto its substrate without holding it and stressing it.Slowly though.

Actually, (although I'm not saying this baby couldn't eat a pinky), these guys naturally go after small lizards when in the neonatal stage. They rarely come across a litter of baby mice unless they're just plain lucky.

Geez Ophi! :p It was to reassure him. If it was a difficult feeder like some of the other small hatchlings like the Antaresia pythons, the lizard explaination woud be the best to use.
