Hey i just set up im 125 gallon fish tank yesterday looks amazing. I put the conditioner in it and everything. Now heres the tough decision. My 36 gallon bow tank is polluted the filter im running is to small and garbage, The aciditiy level is 7.6 or higher because thats the last color. My new tank is at 6.8, I have cichilds catfish and a pike. I cannot tell how the look the water is way to cloudly it is discusting. Now should i Put them into my new tank or wait? I really need to know what to do. Thanks so much.

Your fish have a better chance at surviving in the tank with poor conditions that they are used to than they would be if placed in an uncycled aquarium. In the meantime you can perform daily water changes of 20% or more to compensate for the inadequate filtration in the 36 gallon. There are solutions like Prime, that you can purchase to speed up the cycling process of a new tank. This is just my opinion, others may disagree. Use your best judgment and good luck.

i would be doing water changes twice a day in that 36 gallon to get it back in order while i got the new tank ready

Seachem Prime is a water treatment. It will not speed up your cycle. Seachem Stability will speed up your cycle. You can use prime to help deal with ammonia or nitrite when cycling a tank.

To the OP, I suggest you do more research on basic fish care and water chemistry. If you move the fish, make sure to acclimate them first.

Thanks for the correction. It was a simple mistake on my part. It wasn't my intent on giving the wrong remedy. Sorry about that.
