Ok not selling or trying to buy something...sorry.

Just a question I hope someone can answer.

I live in San Jose CA and the LFS I used to go to finally closed its doors after 15 years.

I have tried looking for some to replace it and can not find any. All I got are pet clubs and petsmarts.

Anyone in the area that knows of any decent LFS could you please let me know?

The Aquarium Showroom

Only place to go. Has anything you want in Salt or Fresh. Nice selection of dry goods and a friendly staff as well.
 
I have been there....Great staff! Just when I was there they were still building up their freshwater selection.

That place is great if you got saltwater...such beautiful aquariums. I will have to go back and check it out.

yeah, but it kinda bugs me that their 14" (or so) mbu puffer store pet is in a 40g tank. That, and a 5" mbu for sale is in a space so confined it could barely turn around.

Waiting for Aquarium Showroom to finish their freshwater tanks to go back...
 
Those places are good stores. There is also a good one in sunnyvale called Aquatic Life Forms. He has & gets some good fresh water cichlids from time to time. I got my tetracanthis, synspilum, gramodes, and trimaculatus from him over the past year.... Good place to by once in awhile.. he has some small festae right now..Fremont x Mary (shopping center with the shell gas station in it)

if you don't mind me asking, which LFS was it that closed down?

sucks,,, it's a rough time for alot of people right now! :(

This store is nice but I think its a bit overpriced... I think The Aquarium showroom, and Superway are your best bets for pretty much anything.... rare stuff but fairly priced
