Ok..
so i picked up a jave fern mat a huge 1 going for $6 becuase it had some black hair algea...
i didnt think it would b a big issue to get rid of it but it has been,
i recently bought some algicide for the tank agianst my will because i wanted the green stuff to grow,
so im wondering if theres any other quick way to get rid of it

Bleach dip. Dip the mat (try not to get the roots)into a 5% bleach/water mix for 60 seconds. Rinse well and double dose with dechlor. May take 2 or 3 treatments over a few days time.

ok well anyways i decided not to do thd bleach dip method and i bougt a small bottle of algeacontrol by tetra,
i took out all carbon, and did the treatment 1 drop per gallon the first day, no waterchange till the 3rd day,
water changed then did 1 drop per gal and repeated the cycle once more plus i added to bns and its looking alot better....w/e ppl say about bristlenose plecos only eating green algea are wrong..cuz as soon as my 2 bns found my anubias and java fern caked with it they went to work and cleaned house.......thier spotless
