Need help breeding dovii

Hi, i have 7"+ male Nic and 5" female costa rican. they have been paired up for a few months now and the male is constantly trying to get her to spawn. but she just ignores him.I have done the wc ritual for a few days, fed live and frozen, put a mirror in the tank and she still shows no interest. doesnt even seem prego. is there anything else i could try to help her? thanks Jay.

have you tried a huge cold water water change? Power feed them on good food for a week or two, then do a huge 80% water change and refill with 65 degree water. As it warms up it simulates a spring rain and they will naturally be set into spawning mode. Try that. IT has worked for me and others.

You might shock and give your fish ick. That sounds a little radical.

Your dovi will spawn when they are ready. Mine spawn every 3 weeks
