Monoculus ;)
Getting my hystrix in a few weeks (YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

For now in the tank will be:
1x Hystrix
1x Silver Aro (7")
3x Cichla Monoculus (5")

I will be relocating the cichla monoculus soon as my new tank is setup (bout 1 month to get cycled).

I'm going to leave the aro in there until he gets a bit larger. The tank is all black, with a black back. The sand will be black after my move in 2 weeks also.

I'm removing all my driftwood, and rocks. Will just be a nice sandy bottom for the hystrix to enjoy! =]

I'd like to find a couple fish to add some color to the tank. Something that would occupy the mid and upper levels of the tank be great.

I was thinking about adding a couple Flag Tails (fei fengs).

I figured I'd ask the pro's though.

Thanks in advance <3

HYSTRIX POWER :)

I have been debating keeping 1 piece of driftwood in the tank, and having a shoal of clown loaches, and a shoal of zebra loaches.

I think they would be an active colorful addition to the tank. But I would def need to give them a place to hideout. I think they would be too stressed if I didn't give them any cover.

be careful to make sure the histrix gets food. The Arowana and the Peacock Bass could potentially out compete the histrix for food. They will definitely grow faster than the histrix. Histrix are not as aggressive of eaters like say Motoros, so watch that. You may want to think about it some more. Just my 2 cents.
