I will be setting up some fry tanks soon, and I plan on filtering them with sponge filters. The only problem is I don't really know anything about air pumps, so I need a little input before I choose one.

I currently have the "luft pump" which I purchased from several years ago, and while it has plenty of power for one sponge filter, it just barely powers two of them.

I will be running at the most four sponge filters, and I would like to power all of them with a single air pump. I would rather have it be slightly overpowered, rather than underpowered. Also, it needs to be as quite as possible, since it will be near a tv. I would like to keep it around $50 or less, but I'm willing to spend more if it's really worth it.

Thanks in advance!

I always like the rena air 400 (dual outlet) about 58 dollars. Super quiet and tons of air. But like my bud Deaths Sting mentioned this depends on the size of the sponges too...

The website I bought them from no longer carries them or I would post a link. They are Azoo brand, one of the larger ones. I believe it is rated for 115 gallons? With the tube on it's about 9-10" tall and around 6" in diameter. I threw away the boxes so I'm not sure of the exact model.

Id step up to the next bigger luft then.. skip the rena if the luft 7.0 psi isn't enough
