I am new to this forum, but have visited frequently. I love my cichlids, they are so calming to watch. I have a 90G with 1 Royal Green Terror, 2 Firemouths, 1 JD, 1 Butterkoferi, 1 Ram, & 1 14" Pleco. I also had my 2 Red Jewel Cichlids in the tank but they paired off in May and started spawning. I purchased extra tanks to accomodate the breeding pair and their offspring. I also purchased additional tanks a 30G & 55G for more breeding pairs as well as 2 15Gs for fry. I love watching the cichlids take care of their offspring and watching them grow.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to which cichlids are in demand but not commonly available? They would also need to be able to be housed in either a 55g or 30g.
I was thinking Blue Acara Cichlids...are they uncommon enough to be a good choice for breeding? Or is there another blue colored cichlid other than the EBJD.
