I have 3 senegalus and just added 20 small cichlids. Good thing is the senegalus did not eat the cichlids but the senegalus did not eat since added the cichlids about 4 days ago.

Whatever I feed. from market prawns to dry food the cichlids will eat first and eat fast. Leaving nothing to my senegallus. What can I do?

pls help thx

Unfortunately your probably either gonna have to just drop from one side of the tank to the other side and hope enough will go down to the bichirs. Or get a separate tank for them.

The other thing is sometimes cichlids can pick on bichirs if too aggressive. Might be an issue since feeding is now being affected. Too much stress already it seems.

The birches are much bigger than the cichlids. but I think they r too slow to eat.

May need to separate them with a divider or in another tank . Feed them pellets until getting used to not eating other fish. Once the cichlids are bigger then can consider Cohabing them again.

I fed them frogs which they ate but the cichlids found out frogs are nice too and now the birches are too slow.

quite disappointed with how the birches eat, even the frog land in front of them they cant see or smell. they can even swim away.
