Alright as the title suggests im looking for some help deciding on a Lid/hood/light combo for my 75 gallon african rift tank that I am planning on starting. Also Im assuming a lid is pretty much mandatory with africans correct me if this is not the case.
I would like to plant this tank in the future so the lighting choice should reflect that. Also it is near impossible to find a traditional hood for a 75gallon locally so if you know any good retailers that information would be helpful. I was thinking something like a versatop/marineland LED combo. However I have heard the Marineland LED is not really strong enough for most planted tanks. Also any hanging options are not really a possibiliy as this is a rental unit. So I will need on tank lighting.
Cheaper is also better in this case as I'd rather spend money on fish.
