If this was your tank, and you wanted to add a fish, would would you add? (nothing that gets over 8-9'', and will be able to swallow a 5'' goby, or 3'' pistol shrimp when full grown)
Current stock:
Blue spiny lobster
target pistol shrimp
Tiger goby
Heniochus butterfly
One spot foxface
Coral beauty angel
Green Chromis
a HUGE HUGE (3lb+) Queen conch
and a cortez hermit

Thanks for any imput :)

my vote goes for a christmas wrasse. heres a googled picture

I saw one of these in a loal store, and have wanted one ever since. I have also seen these same looking fish listed as an ornate wrasse, but have also seen different looking wrasse called ornate as well. Im unsure of the scientific name, that would help a ton.

that's called a christmas wrasse?

Coris gaimard

or frerei (im not good at telling the difference)

This if I am not mistaken is a christmas wrasse.

You might be more correct with the Red Coris.

no i was hinting at that not being a christmas wrasse.. i've never heard of a coris going by that name... sweetang said it was

the "christmas wrasse" you posted a picture of i think is Halichoeres cosmetes

The only reason the picture i posted has the name christmas wrasse, was becasue thats what i was told it was. LFS are often wrong and its nothing in stone, but Its still a very nice looking wrasse. The picture skene posted which i trust his judgement on is also a very nice looking wrasse.

but according to google, this is also a christmas wrasse, which makes me think theres a few different looking fish, called a christmas wrasse in common name, but with different scientifc names of course, which is why those names are less confusing. Im done lol
