I have a 48 x 18 x 18 tank setup ready to add fish but cannot decide what to put in it, i was thinking green horseface x 4 and a school of tetras plus corydorus cats or firemouths x2 blue acara x1 jack dempsey x 1 convict x1 jewelfish x 1 and clown loaches x 3.

i got board with my tank when it was set up as a planted tetra tank with cory cats. If you're looking for a tank with some action, i've always liked the combination of Firemouths, swordtails, and cory cats. The tank seems large enough for a decent amount of each and you shouldn't have to worry about the firemouths eating anything except the swordtail babies (which isn't a bad thing on the nutritional side).

I have decided to put the satanoperca leucosta in my 48x18x18 with some tetras and when i get growth on my firemouths thay can go in my 180 gallon with my oscar.
