So I am looking to add to my fish room next month and I can't decide on a 2 or 3 hundred gallon tank or 2 180s. The 2 or 3 hundred gallon tank would be perfect for my dream fish gorillas black umbees but the 180s give me a chance to keep other fish that I want to keep as well

Why not both? If you have the space get a 180 and a 300 gallon. If you can only have one or the other I would go with one big tank, or you could do a 300 gallon and something smaller like a 120 gal 4x2x2 or a 150 gal 4x2x2.5 so you could have more of a variety of fish and if space for 2 big tanks is an issue a 120/150 gal us only 4 feet long
Hmmm... 200+300+180+180= 860 gallons. PROBLEM SOLVED.
