ok this is a werid one. we are building in a month or so and finalising the plans in the next week. i have 'permission' from my hubby to have a hobby room which i can put my tank's in and am allowed to build a pond (he didnt say what size:))

anyway i want to ensure that the fish room has plumbing, and lots of power, a nice solid floor (concrete slab) but dont want the inlaws who are building with us (granny flat) to know im planning on making a 4x6m room a fish room.

first, is there anything i may have forgotten, live in tropics so heating isnt important and room will be in a climate controlled house, putting in large glass lourves way up high to keep the moisture down and keep the room cool in summer.

was going to put a bar on the plans to explain the plumbing from the water tank but not sure how to provide for power. does anyone have any ideas.

also im not building in tanks but putting several 4-8 feet tanks in the room with a sitting area and little libary

Nice hubby, he's a keeper!:headbang2

Say the power is for a refrigerator and a separate ice maker?

You included a drain right?

Just make sure to add an extra electrical line. You could disquise it by just putting in double electrical outlets and saying that they were just in case.

As far as plumbing and drains, you can put in water lines to work with a "bar sink". I have a few other ideas that I am working out as far as plmbing drains all while hiding them at the same time. I will try and keep you posted, but feel free to check out the INDY DIY thread for updates.
