my dovii wont eat anything but live food ive tried pellets krill beefheart but he just wont eat them what should i do because i want to get him off of live food.

When you say live food I presume you mean feeder fish? I think you have two options, either try live food (just not fish) chopped or whole earthworms are very nutritious, cheap (or free if you can get the spade out) and unlike feeders no chance of introducing disease. Or, starve him out to start feeding prawns or whatever your preferred sources of nutrition are. Remember that even a reasonably conditioned predator can go several WEEKS without food without a problem. Don't capitulate if you go down this road, tough love and all that! Good luck. try not feeding it for a week then try? if doesnt work try the process again tell the fish eventually gives in, dont worry about him starving it will give in if it is starving
