Well for the past week know I have been treating my 120gal tank for ick and all of a sudden its just broke out even worse the past two days yesterday I lost 3 3” clown loaches and a 5-6” clown loach…I cranked the heat up to 80 and been using a little salt, also AP Pro quick cure. I was told by the lfs that this was the best they had and use it on there own home aquarium with there clowns but it doesn’t seem to be doing any good my last two 5-6” clowns are infested with white spots as well as my grass cutters and flag tail… I did a big water change today but it looks like I may end up loosing them all the clowns are breathing hard and starting to swim funny…Is there anything else that I could use?

Agree. temp should go up to at least 84. Add extra aeration in the tank warm water cant hold as much oxygen.

yea im turning up the heat and just added some air stones...but my last two big clowns aren’t looking to good...it almost seems like everything i do and have done is making it worse for them...The grass cutters were spotless yesterday and know they are completely covered.

Add salt too.

Keep it a nice toasty 86 degrees. That has always fixed ich for me.

Probably the Quick Cure that did the clowns in.

I would do a water change, do not add any more Quick Cure, and jack the temp up over 86F. I go to 87-88F. At this temp you don't even have to add salt, the protozoa are not able to reproduce at this elevated temp. Leave it there for a week after the last spots disappear.

Water change => add in the medication & salt => Bump up the temp => Turn off your filter if it has carbon as carbon would hold the medication in => wait for 48hours for improvements => once cured do water changes good luck!

Do not turn your filter off that will kill your bacteria and you have a whole new set of problems. If your filter has carbon theres plenty more ways to get it out of there. Plus if your carbon is more then a week old its no good anymore anyways.
