My Delhezi is under 2 inches. Can anyone offer me suggestions on how to get him to eat more, and how to get weight on him?

I have Frozen mysis shrimp, bloodworms, beefheart, & brine shrimp.

I also haveearthworms, wrigglers and sinking carnivorous pellets but all those foods look too big for him to get in his mouth...lol. And as they said he is most likely wild caught, that explains why he is terrified of me too. Poor thing.

Also are Delhezi's slow growers? (It seems like my Sens were easier to feed and that they all grew so fast!! )

And how long does it take for bichirs to calm down in a tank if they are wild caught?

Thanks again guys!

Try frozen bloodworms for a while most likely won't eat the mysis shrimp.
Will eat beefheart as well. Would try pellets now but make sure their soaked and small enought for him.
Have heard that delhezi are both slow grower and some have growth rates similar to senegal's.
Earthworms will mostly likely be eaten make sure that they are bite size thou. At 2" maybe .5" at the most 1"

bloodworms for now as it gets its appetite you can add other things you may have to cut pellets into halves or quarters with a single edge razor blade btw you delhezi is farmed not wild caught-Anne
jt can take a few minutes to almost 2 weeks for bichirs to fully adjustto new surroundings
