I got a question for you arowana guys. My friend got a silver about a month ago and put in in a 125 with a oscar. Everything seemed to be fine for about three weeks then the oscar started chasing the arow. My buddy called me yesterday to inform me that the arowana had hardly any fin left!!!!
The arowana is now in a 45g tall by itself. What would you guys advise as far as treatment? Any info would be helpful for I have little advice to give him.

First how big are each fish? I would get the aro back into the 125g, raise the temp to 84 degrees and treat with salt 1 tablespoon per 10 gallons. Also would help to do 33% W/C every 2-3 days. Aros heal pretty fast, either way new living arangments must be made.

treating the tank with some stress coat wouldn't hurt either..i swear by the stuff..

Maybe even some melafix.

Salt , stresscoat and melafix are all valid options. Only do one not all three or a combination of two.

have u heard of that seaweed medicine made in australia? its pretty expensive but the stuff is gold. the demonstrators virtually brought back a dying fish from its grave. they use it on competition koi whos they take no chances on. it is usually red in colour with solid pieces of seaweed. smells bad too. i swear by this stuff. it can cure anything and everything. plus its au natural. if u can afford it, FIND IT!
