So this all started when my 75g tank with 5x lyonsi sprung a leak.

I broke down the tank and let it dry out. After doing a little research I went to my local hardware store to look for %100 silicone with no anti mildew or mold. After searching through some of the silicone and reading all the fine print I came across two different bottles that didn't have any signs of anti mildew or mold. The bottles were GE silicone 1 and GE silicone 2 both are window door attic and basement. I brought both up to the general manager of the store (thinking he would know better than anyone) and asked him if either bottles contained anti mildew or mold. I told him I would be using these to seal up a leaking fish tank and needed to make sure that these additives weren't in the silicone. He assured me that neither bottle had anti mildew or mold and said the difference between GE1 and 2 is the curing process. He also said that the anti mildew was only in the GE 1 and 2 bath and shower bottles. Upon this I bought a few bottles and sealed up the tank and let cure for 3 days. I then spray painted the back of the tank red and let that dry for day. I set the tank up and thought about changing up the decor so i went outside and grabbed some sizable rocks and let them soak in hot water for a day. Then I set the tank up and put all the decor in the tank. I seeded the tank with some filters from my other tanks and let the tank sit for a few hours with the filters on and let the water get acclimated to the right temp. Then I put the lyonsi back in the tank and have been monitoring the water parameters for about a week now. 3 out of 5 lyonsi seem to be getting cloudy eyes. 4 out of 5 have someone that looks like ammonia burn even though I have been testing the water daily and there has been no major spike. The worst of the lyonsi on top of having cloudy eyes is now losing control of his swimming (Swimming in circles) but the biggest of the lyonsi has no symptoms whatsoever so I'm confused??.. I thought it might be the rocks that I added so I took them out of the aquarium yesterday and did a %60 percent water change. It doesn't seem to have done much since the symptoms are the same.

I'm sorry for the novel it's just that I have had these guys since .75 inches and I would hate to lose them now over a mistake on my part =( does anyone have any suggestions? I also think it may be the silicone but after doing some. More research I am seeing conflicting statements that say GE 2 is fine for aquarium use?

GE 1 is the silicon you want to use in an aquarium. I am not sure about the curing time but the difference between 1 & 2 are that GE 1 is 100% silicone where GE 2 has the extra mildew reducers and other chemicals. Hardware store employees don't know this. All silicon tubs you buy will say not for aquarium use so the employee sees that and shuts down. That is printed for liabilities.
I am sorry to hear about your fish. If you used GE 2 you may need to start over.
How did you paint that back? What paint? Did you research any? Or is this something you have done before? Did you seal up the trim and tank before painting?

Use GE silicone 1 ONLY. GE silicone 2 will likely kill off your fish, and will definitely kill off your benificial bacteria (or a very large portion of it).

If you used GE silicone 2, I'd start over.

Also, if you used a super thick bead of silicone, it could take up to a week for it to fully cure. Even if it feels solid to the touch, it could still be curing if the silicone bead was laid really thick. When I built my last sump, I use a LOT of silicone. So I let it cure for a full week. While silicone cures, it leaches chemicals that are not good for fish. Think about the aweful stink of silicone when you're applying it. That's what's leaching into the water if you use the tank before it's fully cured.

Other than that, could the spraypaint you used be toxic??? I only use Krylon Fusion because I know a lot of people have used it, and it's been proven to be non-toxic.
