I have just got 3 small Geophagus Rio Branco for my 250 litre tank, after looking online I can find minimal information about them, could someone be able to give me info about them such as their max size and tanks mates. Thanks

Haven't personally had them but I've seen them at 8-9 inches and reports, but not photos, of 11 inches. TUIC currently has some at 9 inches.

I haven't seen much of on care out there, maybe because it's similar to most true geos? So unless someone can speak from experience, I'd expect similar care and tankmates to other medium to large geos-- sandy bottom, good sized tank for adults, similar water to similar looking geos from the region, sveni for example-- most true Geophagus do well in near neutral, neutral, or pH anywhere in the 7s and temps in upper 70s to low 80s, I keep mine 78-80. I'd expect similar tankmates as other medium to large geos to work, I've seen them with Heros species. I've seen video where groups can be feisty with each other (while ignoring other fish).

Rio Branco is a location variant of Geophagus, not (at this time) a recognized species that I know of.
So any info used in others of the Geophagines of the altifrons (Pindare) group would be appropriate.
To get more detailed, the Rio Branco is a soft water river, that seasonally gets inundated with tannins, and has an average pH is between 6 and 7.
If your tap water is fairly soft with a pH range in that area, you should be good to go.
If your tap water is very hard, diluting it with rain water could help, and soaking leaves or peat in it could also help in preparing water change water.
