Ive been trolling around the forums the past few days and realized Ive got to join. I want to start breeding Stingrays and maybe sell them out to local pet stores (make some money doing a hobby..not bad). I wanna get a real badass tank setup....arowana, 2 or 3 stingrays. but I dont know where to start. I have a few questions

I KNOW I want stingrays and an arowana in my tank....what other fish can be put with these 2 and be able to coexist?

How big of a tank will I need?

How much money will I need to spend to ensure I have good filtration and enough room for my fish. (money's not a big problem for me, I just would like a ballpark figure of what it's gonna cost me).....Thanks in advance for your help

I like keeping gar with rays. I had a silver aro for a short period but he was a real aggressive eater and once followed some food all the way to the bottom and bit one of my rays that was in the wrong place at the wrong time. If you want to breed rays I would keep them by themselves with no distractions. As far as a tank for life with a filtration system included you are looking at roughly $2,000-$3000 unless you are a handyman and do your own pond or build your own tank like I did. I have about $1500 tied up in my tank and filter but I built it all myself out of acrylic.

i would start with the stickies then move to the search feature and then ask some specific questions... knowing what type of rays would be nice and dont look at it as easy money... gonna cost you alot to set up and grow them out to breeding size and then hope they breed...

Breeding rays food and electricity bill tends to out-run the cost of producing pups unless you are breeding black rays..
