Need help guys

I've had my tank going for about 5 yrs now and I've always noticed my fish scraping themselves on various things in the tank. I just shrugged this behavior off and thought it was probably them marking their territory or something. We'll as the night lights came on tonight I noticed one of my dats doing this but be wouldn't stop. It really seems like something is bothering him. The same rock. Over and over again. And he's swimming in a tight circle to scrape on the same rock on the same side of his face. This is really bothering because I feel bad for him. Can anybody please tell me what this could be

Have you tested your water? Pics or vid of the fish would help it could be that he's getting sick, water issue, or prolonged copper exposure. Need more info
 
Yeah. are you running copper?
 
How is he doing? Is he showing any signs of parasites or anything?
