NEED HELP. . . hole in the head!!

I bought my oscar about 2 years ago, and was about 4", a year later i was moving and gave the oscar to my wife's grandpa. Anyways, i was looking at the oscar the other day and seen a nice big hold in the middle of his head, the oscar is now about 11-12", i heard mixed suggestions and assumptions, i took the oscar back, put him in a tank with an other oscar, JP, and red devil, never experienced an oscar w/hole in the head disease. can somebody give me a little advise please. . . . . . thanks

what kind of diet should i put him on?

mine eats pellets, shrimp, smelt, beefheart, earthworms, krill, peas....pretty much keep it as varied as you can.

thanks guys, i'ma see what i can do, my wife's grandpa had him in a 30 gal tank too, which could've stressed him out a lot, i have my 125 gal running again but won't be ready for a couple, but i put him in the 75 gal with the other fishes for the mean time, still think he's cramped.
